Antioch is a church cradled in the cross of Christ-meaning that its ministry is birth, nurtured and developed in the context of God's redemptive purpose. We bear witness of the true and living God as he has, is and shall reveal Himself to us in spirit, word and deed. To this end we submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, obey His word and seek to emulate and perpetuate His actions and deed of enhancing the quality of life for all humankind.
It is my belief that God has assigned me to this church, not only to nurture the spiritual growth of the parishioners, but to help the church become a change agent for God in the 21st century, that means getting involved in activities that lead to new responsibilities of a fuller and richer life as God has promised. Therefore, my job is not only to save souls, but in addition, it is to lead the church into becoming spiritually empowered, economically knowledgeable and political oriented.
Keeping within the context of generational change we pride ourselves in being able to meet the spiritual needs of the "reel to reel" "eight track" tapes, 45 rpm record playing generation, as well as the "ipod", "mp3", "blackberry", "iphone" generation.
The Bible exhorts us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25). We hope your visit with us by way of the web will motivate you to visit us in person. As Moses said to Hobab in Numbers 10:29, "we are journeying unto the place of which the Lord said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good ..." We invite you to come thou with us and we will do you good and you will do us good. Our prayer to God for you is that today you will make our church your church, and our God your God.Dr. James L. Sailes, Pastor
